EL BOUM is Jasmina El Bouamraoui, illustrator and artist based in Berlin. Inspired by queer aesthetics, they create characters and urban settings in eye-catching colors and distinctive shapes. Not drawn to the usual, they invite the viewers to question stereotypes of all sorts, using illustration as the main tool to envision a world without them. Their jigsaw puzzle motif »Let’s Cheer, We’re Queer« is celebrating the queer spirit of Berlin by presenting a snapshot of this particular world.
